I guess it depends on how many people are included and if it involves a meal.

For lunches, a cold buffet is $59 per person and a hot buffet is $65 per person. Plated lunches are $50-58/person, and box lunches are $55/person. None of these prices include the 23% gratuity/service fee, so we're looking at a range of $62-80 per person for a lunch. For $10,000, that would cover 125-160 attendees.

If this is meant to just be a concurrent session along with others, I'd say maybe double the Tier 1 rate to start with?

Subject: follow up to vendor paid session

Hello,

In last week’s Board meeting, I recall that an estimate for a cost for lunch was $10,000. This was in the context of discussing a proposal to allow for a vendor sponsored/paid session.

Nicole mentioned that this cost seems really high, higher than what is charged at either Charleston or ER&L. Maybe this question is really for Anna: is that a defensible estimate, do you think? The context of her response was me asking what she thought a vendor would consider paying, and I mentioned this estimate. Is it possible at this stage to give a more certain estimate?

More later on this as the conversation between Shannon, Nicole, and me progresses.
